Ryan Schneider, CSW, CSAC

Clinical Director
Ryan is a licensed CSW and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor with over 12 years of experience in the field. After having worked in various private and hospital-based settings, with diverse clients across the socio-economic spectrum, since 2016 Ryan has been in roles overseeing clinical operations. He focuses on developing highly individualized programs that tailor substance abuse care to address each individual's unique needs, allowing them to access those methods most effective for them, whether more traditional or modern approaches of clinical services.

Ryan’s expertise is directed at co-occuring issues such as anxiety, trauma, and mental illnesses, as well as implementing innovative group therapy programs at our center which create deep and lasting change for our clients.

Brittany Ramirez, BSN, RN

Director of Nursing
Brittany is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is currently finishing her Master of Science in Nursing to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She previously worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, is a state certified Naloxone Administration Trainer, and has over 13 years of mental health and addiction experience.

With a compassionate and positive disposition, Brittany uses her passion for behavioral health, addiction treatment and recovery to lead her outstanding team of nursing staff at Midwest Detox to provide the most personalized and empathetic patient care at all times.

Kiah Allen , MS, RN, APNP, PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Kiah, a Nurse Practitioner specializing in psychiatry, has been in the field for 5 years as a psychiatric nurse before advancing to become a Psych NP in 2020. As a healthcare provider, Kiah treasures the therapeutic connections she builds with patients, holding a firm belief in the potential of every individual to achieve a brighter tomorrow.

She is dedicated to instilling hope in those who may feel hopeless and genuinely cares for the well-being of those under her care. Her future aspirations revolve around leadership, aiming to craft innovative solutions that enhance the accessibility and fairness of psychiatric care.

Sadie Washcovick, APNP, PMHNP,

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Sadie Washcovick is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2023. With a diverse nursing background and a variety of experience, she is a certified Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber and capable of providing advanced care to individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders.

Sadie’s professional journey spans various healthcare settings including acute detox facilities, emergency rooms and correctional institutions. In each setting, she devoted her focus to complete patient well-being, particularly in cases involving co-occurring disorders. Sadie is committed to staying informed of the latest advancements in psychiatric care, and collaborates with the rest of the team at Wellbrook Recovery to deliver superb, tailored mental health and addiction recovery care.

Sophie Schultz, PSW

Primary Therapist
Sophie is our dedicated Primary Therapist specializing in substance abuse treatment, and highly trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). With experience in both adult and child therapy, she offers support across all care levels, from outpatient to residential treatment.

Sophie prioritizes empathy and growth in her approach with clients and emphasizes family involvement for a supportive recovery environment, valuing collaboration and communication throughout the therapeutic process. Beloved by our clients, Sophie quickly establishes herself as a trusted partner in each individuals recovery process.

Holly Petrauskas, LPC, CSAC

Primary Therapist - Advanced Techniques
Holly Petrauskas, is extensively trained in advanced holistic therapies including EMDR. Holly brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in addiction and substance abuse therapy, along with a deep dedication to helping clients reach their goals.

With over 9 years of experience leading group therapy sessions, providing individual therapy, and facilitating psychoeducation groups, Holly has developed a reputation as top-tier therapist providing strength and compassion to her clients. Her approach to treatment is personalized, reflecting her unwavering commitment to supporting each client on their journey toward motivation, sobriety, and healing from trauma.

Kristen Lezala, RN

Charge Nurse
Kristen, our Charge Nurse, discovered her passion for aiding others during her high school days, and it has been a guiding light in her professional journey. She began her career in recovery services in 2014, venturing into residential treatment, where she spent two years assisting at-risk boys in Milwaukee while also pursuing her psychology bachelor's degree. Her time in an addiction facility solidified her desire to become a certified Registered Nurse (RN).

Kristen's dedication to excellence drove her to complete CBRF Training, enabling her to train and empower others with essential treatment skills and knowledge. At Midwest Detox she ensures every client's needs are met and their care expectations are properly fulfilled.

Jessica Benning, SAC

Care Coordinator
Jessica is a care coordinator and a licensed Substance Abuse Counselor in training, also serving as a state certified Clients Rights Specialist. Jessica has worked in the behavioral health field for 5 years, and previously worked with clients in residential care. In 2022 she also became a state certified Naloxone Administration Trainer, teaching others how to use the life-saving drug Naloxone.

Jessica uses her warmth and compassion to ease the recovery process which can often seem daunting for some. She skillfully pulls all the required pieces together to create a perfectly tailored and well rounded care experience. Her approach to caring at Midwest Detox is shaped by her sense of honor to be a part of the journeys of all who come under her care.

Experiential Therapist
Our highly skilled and licensed Experiential Therapist, Lis, brings over 7 years of experience from different treatment centers. Lis is deeply passionate about aiding individuals in their healing and growth journeys, employing innovative and immersive techniques to foster profound emotional exploration and healing. Furthermore, Lis has completed extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengthening her capacity to deliver impactful, evidence-based treatment.

Sohpia specializes in family counseling, and addiction and employs evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to foster meaningful connections and facilitate healing within family dynamics. Her goal is to provide a safe and empathetic space where clients can explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and embark on a path toward personal growth and well-being.

Chelsea Woodruff MA CDCA

Director of Admissions
Chelsea Woodruff M.A., CDCA has her Masters in Human Services Counseling: Addiction and Recovery with over 10 years of experience in the field. Chelsea has worked in various levels of care including in-patient psychiatric for adults and adolescents, as well as detox and residential rehab as a behavioral health technician and counselor.

Exploring options in the mental health space outside of direct patient care, Chelsea became passionate about the operations and business development side of the industry. She has enjoyed diving into roles that allowed her to learn the intricacies of different departments working together to provide effective patient care. Utilizing her educational, personal, and career experience, Chelsea provides a knowledgeable and empathetic ear to clients and family members as they navigate entering into treatment.

Meir Kasnett

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director
Meir brings the passion of generations of medical professionals and educators to his role in leading the Midwest Detox team. After becoming involved in directing an addiction treatment program a number of years ago, mental health and addiction recovery have grown to become a life’s passion for him.

Meir blends his entrepreneurial vision of efficient growth hand-in-hand with his empathy and care for all individuals and their well-being, and is known to be deeply involved at all times and all levels with the success of the treatment program -particularly client success. A firm advocate of realizing each individual's life potential regardless of where they're at, he continually seeks out the collaboration of leaders in the medical, rehabilitation, and educational fields to provide the most effective policy and procedures for the clients and staff of Midwest Detox.
